Student Guidelines to Balancing Work and Play during Easter

Students across the UK will enjoy a relaxing fortnight off university during Easter. It is a chance for them to de-stress, left their hair down and have fun. Although it is a holiday, often or not lecturers hand out assignments to be completed over the break. There is scope to unwind and enjoy yourself over the holiday as well as balance the workload that is required of you with these guidelines from Oxbridge Essays.

The key is organisation and planning. Before you do anything, have a skim read through all the assignments and take out the books from the library that is needed for research. You wouldn’t want to leave campus and get home and realise that you don’t have any resources. What is more, if you wait to start the essay but come across something you aren’t quite sure of, the lecturer will no longer be around to answer your questions.

Next, note down everything that needs to be completed in order or priority. Does one essay have a deadline one week before another? It makes sense to start this first. On the other hand, you may work best by starting the hardest assignment first and get this out of the way. Then everything afterwards will feel like a piece of cake! Whatever strategy works best for you put this into action but make sure that you schedule enough time to finish each work. If you know on average how many hours it takes you to write an essay, put this into your diary accordingly to avoid a last-minute panic or all-nighter.

Now it is Easter so you should still have fun. In your diary note down all the important occasions and where necessary, make your work a priority. A family birthday party is understandably important but your work holds more significance over an all-day session at the pub.

So you’ve planned your diary and you’ve sat down to start your essay, what now? Look around you and be honest with yourself, is the atmosphere peaceful and productive or full of distractions? The TV is an interruption and reduces concentration levels. Surround yourself in an environment that is quiet and enables you work to the best of your ability. The sooner the work gets done, the quicker you can enjoy the rest of your Easter break!

How to educate a young rebel

The adolescence is a difficult time because it represents the stage at which young people begin to know themselves to be defined in tastes, sensations and, above all, to rebel against the establishment.

Some do it so that families can cope, but others are thrown into a crusade to the death against everything that means rules and customs , both familial and social. Many families are destroyed in this process, as there are aggravating factors such as drugs, prostitution and crime in general, consume them economically and psychologically.

The education and training are one of the issues that often leads to categorically reject and head to the parents and guardians. Since, under normal conditions, the youthful rebellion is not simply the excess of vital energy that is not well-managed due to the inexperience of parents and who says we can take into account certain key to surviving it:

- The rules should be default at all times. Departure times, arrival, extracurricular activities, attendance, etc.. It is important to share responsibilities in the home care and order. This will keep them linked to the atmosphere.

- Watch the places you frequent. There are many places to get distracted. The street is not the best of them. If a girl insists on making street activities may be in serious trouble in a short time.

- Requiring a study time and results . Set goals and objectives , as well as granting or withdrawal of privileges. Outings, parties, excursions, items of your choice.

- Review the family situation. We are the first example of life. The family may be having factors (divorces, fights , humiliations, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc..) that will make manifest this attitude.

- As always,  prevention is always better, so the first signs of strange attitudes must be addressed firmly. Communication between family and school is essential that there be no unpleasant surprises.

- Whenever we hear them. Their views and concerns, that seem most absurd, they say a lot about them and how they are living new experiences.

- Monitor and guide you about the groups involved. Some can be very positive: music, theater, club sports, academics, etc, while others may be his undoing as religious sects, extremist groups, street gangs. To combat their participation in the latter need professional help , police, civil guard and family-oriented units.

- The teen has fatalistic overtones, since the ends are considered highly accepted among young people. Hence recurrent vocabularies death , war, blood, destruction. This should be discussed with good words and very positive attitudes and environments in family relationships.

- Is vital to recognize a very good grade, achievement and success you get in any area of your life. This will increase your self-esteem.

- The desperate acts of violence or charged against them may worsen the situation by creating distance.   Good manners, firmness and love will bring better results .

- Never ever review your personal belongings without their permission or presence . Before any suspicion of something harmful (drugs, pornography, stolen goods), relax and call to talk. Explain your concerns and ask them to tell the truth. And be steadfast in the corrections applied. Do not give opportunity to reoffend.

- Pay close attention to the mood swings, friends or health habits, as this tends to warn of possible consumption of substances such as alcohol, drugs or minor criminal situations.

- In case of problems of a criminal nature or harmful substance for your body, there are many government organizations that can help families and themselves out of that situation. Apórtale the importance it deserves, then do not leave it as it may be too late.

A teenager is a treasure for families. It is all the world’s energy concentrated in one being. It is a great opportunity to move forward and grow in society. The rebelliousness typical of this stage should be controlled by both the young and to be helped from outside. In this way, then he will have memories of successful experiments with both personnel and professional.
